How to Setup Private Credentials for FTP

Nexla only uses pem format keys, and doesn’t support keys in formats like OpenSSH or PuTTY. Follow these instructions to generate your pem format key to use in Nexla. 

Generate a Pem Format Key

Run this command in your shell or terminal to generate your pem format private key, replacing “path/to/key” with the file path for your key.

ssh-keygen -p -N "" -m pem -f /path/to/key

Copy

Copy this key and paste it into the private key field in your SFTP credentials in Nexla.

Click Save and Nexla will authenticate your credentials.
